One of the favorite radio stations in the Czech Republic. This model of the transmitter is popular for its small size, favorable price, performance of professional transmitters and programmable PMR channels or even shared UHF or VHF channels.
The Baofeng UV-5R radio model has 128 memory channels and is also equipped with a color-lit LCD display. This model of handheld station is popular mainly with radio amateurs or airsoft players. Thanks to its parameters and functions, it is also suitable for use in construction, security, logistics or even just for trips.
It is possible to connect other devices for hands-free calling mode to the transmitter using a standardized Kenwood type connector. Thanks to this connector, you can use various types of headphones and additional external microphones with a speaker with a PPT button and a twisted cable. The transmitter comes with a battery with a capacity of 1800mAh. Thanks to the power save function, this battery lasts up to 24 hours in standby mode. In normal operation, the batteries last up to 5 hours. However, if you need more, then you can also buy a replacement battery. Additional batteries can be found in the accessories tab. The low battery indicator is indicated by the low battery indicator, then you can either replace the battery or insert it into the desktop charger. This charger is included in the package.
The transmitter has switchable power in the VHF band 5 W or 1W and in the UHF band 4 W or 1W. The frequency range of the bands is 136 - 174 MHz in the VHF band and in the UHF band the range is 400 - 520 MHz. 128 memory channels are available for operation.
When using the radio, you will certainly appreciate its range. The radios can communicate up to a distance of 8 km.
For easier communication, the radio supports some features that make it easier to operate the radio.
First of all, it is a function of VOX. This feature starts broadcasting automatically when voice is detected, and you do not have to press the PTT key for each broadcast. If you stop talking, the radio automatically switches to receive mode.
CTCSS allows you to ignore unwanted calls from certain people or groups on the same frequency, and you can only communicate with a specific person or group.
The TOT function allows you to set the time when the broadcast is to be interrupted automatically. This prevents the channel from being blocked for a long time by one user, eg when the PTT button is inadvertently blocked.
The BCL feature allows you to block the transmission of a signal on a busy channel and prevents others from interfering with the same frequency band while communication is in progress.
